We pride ourselves on a job well done and enjoy receiving feedback from happy customers.
We had the pleasure of working with Justin and Island Foodscaping on one of our projects in Kahala, which was a single-family new construction that pursued and was certified LEED v4 GOLD, a first in Hawaii and one of only a few to achieve LEED v4 in the United States at the time. The reason I bring this up is because the requirements for achieving such a high level of certification in green building requires diligent collaboration between all aspects of the project, which includes the landscaping. Justin was instrumental in facilitating a landscaped environment that not only exceeded our client’s expectations but also met the requirements of LEED and EPA’s WaterSense program for irrigation.
Justin provided a consistent measure of quality throughout the course of the project all while meeting a demanding schedule to turn-over the project to the client as promised. He was always in communication and responsive, made extra efforts to work with the various trades to ensure the project moved smoothly through the finish stages. Furthermore, he did so with a great deal of enthusiasm, all while working in the field to develop an incredible finished landscape that truly elevated the appeal of the home. His understanding of the native environment and plant selections were critical in the home achieving certification. It’s refreshing to see someone so dedicated and hands on in their field, who’s willing to adapt and
at the same time maintain such a positive attitude about what could have been a stressful project.
Island Foodscaping is at the top of my list for any landscaping project and I look forward to each opportunity I have to work with Justin and his team. If you are looking for consistency, communication and follow through, Island Foodscaping will surely exceed your expectations.Mike Fairall, Mokolua High Performance BuilderPrincipal RME & Project Manager
We couldn’t be happier with the quality of work and professionalism Justin and his team displayed when they landscaped two and a half acres for us on our brand new north shore property in Kawela Bay. They hydro-seeded the grass, planted an abundance of fruit trees, and installed an irrigation system for the entire property. He gave us maintenance tips and made numerous follow-up trips out to the north shore to monitor progress and make sure the irrigation was working effectively. I would highly recommend Island Foodscaping to anyone looking for a dependable and honest landscaping service!
